There are many places that your staying in Campo Contile would allow you to visit. First of all, the artistic and cultural beauties of the Orcia Valley, UN heritage site. There you'll find Pienza, the city of the pope Pius II, Enea Silvio Piccolomini and the fancy town of Monticchiello, set within the charming Sienesi hills. San Quirico d'Orcia and Bagno Vignoni a tiny and renowned spa, with its ancient pool of sulphurous water. Last, but not least, the Rocca d'Orcia, Radicofani and the beautiful Mountain Amiata.

It's definitely worth a visit Montepulciano, named the pearl of the XVI century, with its history and treasures. Then Chiusi, an ancient Etruscan key centre, which flourished under the kingdom of Porsenna. Pride of the town is the National Archeological Museum with its amazing Etruscan, Greek and Roman artworks. From the Museum it's possible to walk through the fascinating maze of the King Porsenna. Major cities of the area are Arezzo and Siena, treasures of history, culture, traditions and events. Other interesting places within the Umbrian territory are the charming lake Trasimeno and Orvieto.
